Just four years after opening its production facility in Bulgaria, the Ansa Composites Group sums up its first major achievements, proud of its work and confident of a future full of great opportunities.
During the early years of the crisis that befell all the world’s advanced economies, the Ansa Composites Group decided to reshape its business strategy in view of the challenges that would inexorably confront it, deciding to champion a new business model and strengthen its market position.
One of the first fruits that came out of this push for change was the establishment of a production facility in Bulgaria, near the small town of Borima.
Speaking with Sandro Zonetti, a director along with his sister Antonella of the family businesses, this vocation for change immediately becomes clear: “Dor more than fifty years, we have been active in the plastics molding industry and supply the largest European and global industries; it is precisely this supply business that has taught us, in my opinion, one of the greatest gifts of doing business: flexibility“. “Flexibility” should be understood in its noblest sense, that is, the ability to adapt to external stresses and then, when necessary, return to its original form, and it is precisely pliability that has been the key to this success: “The opening of new production sites.” Zonetti continues, “and even greater specialization has enabled us to increase our competitiveness and thus meet the daily challenges posed by the market.”.
Thus, a production site with high potential was created, thanks also to the operational choices coordinated by the entire company management: a mix of the unquestionable Italian quality standard and the increased economic competitiveness derived from Bulgaria’s reduced operating cost, an inseparable combination especially in those processes that it is now hardly possible to produce in Italy.
Going into more detail, each new job order is started in the Italian headquarters, where qualified professionals with more than thirty years of experience in the field design and industrialize the production process; only after this testing phase can production be transferred to other Italian or European locations. Therefore, this is not a delocalization, but mainly a strategy of insertion into new markets: “For years now, Ansa Composites has had an international focus; many of our major customers are groups that operate all over the world,” Zonetti informs us. “We have also learned from them that the more an industrial entity is able to speak to a multiplicity of stakeholders, the more it will have the power to be competitive in the market. Therefore we aspire to offer a service that is measurable not only in economic terms, but as added value, designing and making available to everyone content, initiatives, experiences and possibilities designed to simultaneously meet their needs and our goals.”
The Ansa Composites Group, thanks to its strong roots in the Italian manufacturing industry, will increasingly focus on the “value creation” as a strategic lever to strengthen competitiveness, a path that turns out to be sustainable, long-lasting and will continue to be talked about in the future.
